Since its launch in 2016, ROBIN has offered its users unrivalled flexibility and performance. Pre-construction services firm Central Alliance were the first adopters of this technology and they continue to reap the benefits. Milen Charov, Principal Land Surveyor for Central Alliance says “we use ROBIN because it gives us ultimate flexibility. ROBIN allows us to map places we couldn’t access before, it is the most cost-efficient way of capturing mass data and we can process results incredibly quickly”.

Based in Wakefield, but providing services all over the country, Central Alliance offer a range of services from surveying, site investigation and innovative technology solutions to training and health and safety services. They work with a large client base, completing over four hundred projects in a year, supported by over 35 years’ worth of experience.

Since investing in mobile mapping technology, Central Alliance have been able to perform surveys and deliver data to customers that had not previously been possible. “Data capture is quick, cost efficient and produces quality results” says Milen, “we have also had excellent training and support from 3D Laser Mapping”.

Central Alliance use their ROBIN across a range of surveying environments including highways, rail, agriculture, electricity substations, landslide and coastal monitoring. A mark of the firm’s continued success is that they work with some of the largest names in construction including the likes of Amey, WYG, Network Rail, National Grid and J Murphy & Sons.
