Overview
The speed of laser scanning easily rivals alternative methods such as GPS and total stations. The LMS range of instruments provide the option to undertake vehicle mounted 'stop go' scanning, significantly improving productivity.
Using the correct software tools such as TerraScan, vegetation and unwanted features can be quickly and reliably removed from the survey data. Using TerraModeler, DTM's, contour plots, sections and volume calculations can be generated easily.
Suggested Scanners
The Riegl LMS-Z420i, Z390, Z210i and Z210ii are typically used for topographical mapping.
Typical Projects
Capture of 3D scan data for mapping of the natural and built environment, including tree canopy extent, golf course design, site services records, caves and flood mapping.
