3D Laser Mapping launches SiteMonitor 2
3D Laser Mapping, the UK based specialists in laser measurement technology and software, has launched the latest version of SiteMonitor. SiteMonitor 2 is a unique suite of software that has been developed to meet the demand for accurate and repeatable measurements of surfaces and slopes in hazardous or inhospitable environments, such as mines. By continuously capturing and analysing highly accurate measurements SiteMonitor 2 records movements in the slope surface as small as 5mm, providing detailed records of mining activity as well as improved safety monitoring.

SiteMonitor 2, when used in conjunction with the Reigl LMS Z420i, can obtain measurements that are accurate to 5mm with a distance range of up to 1,000m. Recording and analysing up to 8,000 measurements per second SiteMonitor 2 creates a detailed, accurate and continuous record of the slope profile.
SiteMonitor 2 also offers improved user customisation; a wizard-based interface guides the operator through the set up procedure, the Alarm Module can be programmed to monitor recordings for unexpected or unusual measurements and the Project Manager Tree provides access to more sophisticated functionality. The Analysis Module has also been enhanced providing improved data analysis and interpretation including 3D viewing, automated cross section production and the graphical display of measurements over a set time period. SiteMonitor 2 can also compensate for the effects of atmospheric conditions by recording differences against known values improving the overall accuracy of the solution.
SiteMonitor 2 is the latest addition to 3D Laser Mappings product portfolio that includes both terrestrial and airborne laser scanning solutions. 3D Laser Mapping integrate laser scanner hardware systems with own software and peripherals to create robust solutions for mapping, mining and manufacturing to name just a few. |
