Business Development Manager

Reporting directly to the Business Development Director the successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development combined with a strong technical / engineering background. Excellent communication skills will ensure confidence in negotiations with clients, from end user through to board level management, while a focus on the development of long-term relationships will drive success.

Role

To lead and develop a successful Innovative portable scanning product based business development proposition, which maximizes the Company’s market presence and delivers profitable sales growth.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Sales targets and sales growth
  • Evolution and execution of an international channel program
  • Own and manage partner support materials
  • Own the entire sales cycle from lead generation and recruitment through to partnership agreement to successful sales and deployments
  • Coordination of training partners to successfully perform sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Ensure end customers are successful
  • Drive partners to penetrate target markets and be proactive
  • Establish and maintain effective marketing activities (events, communications, web, etc.)
  • Track activity and sales progress of self and all partners in CRM system
  • Team leadership and management

Experience, Skills and Behaviours

  • Successful track record in business development
  • Experience of establishing and/or working with distribution networks
  • Knowledge of laser scanning, LiDAR, surveying, mapping, remote sensing and/or GIS
  • Ability to undertake on-site customer demonstrations
  • Very high standard of written work - creating technical proposals
  • Ability and willingness to travel (UK and International)
  • Experience working in sectors such as built environment, construction, mining and forestry

Graduate Software Developer

A position has arisen for a Graduate Software Developer to join a friendly and dynamic team, offering the chance to make a significant contribution to the development of 3D Laser Mapping’s highly acclaimed 3D mobile mapping and monitoring solutions.

Reporting directly to the technical lead, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the skills required to work in a cutting-edge research and development team. They will also be a self-motivated and pro-active individual with good communication skills.

The regularly scheduled work-week consists of 37.5 hours worked Monday to Friday however occasional out of office hours ‘on-call’ work will be required as will overseas travel.

Key responsibilities:

  • Software development and maintenance for 3D laser scanning solutions.
  • Customer support for 3D Laser Mapping software.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Graduate degree (or equivalent) in computer science, or a related field, with applicable background.
  • Strong development skills using C++, C#, OpenGL.
  • Understanding of software development plans, including timelines and test procedures.
  • Experience using 3rd party APIs and SDKs.
  • Willingness to travel to meet overseas clients.
  • Excellent teamwork/communication skills.

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects.
  • Experience with version control systems, e.g. GIT.
  • Experience with Visual Studio 2015.
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies.

Software Developer

Reporting directly to the technical lead, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in software development. They will also be a self-motivated and pro-active individual with good communication skills.

The regularly scheduled work-week consists of 37.5 hours worked Monday to Friday however occasional out of office hours ‘on-call’ work will be required as will overseas travel.

This role will be based out of our office in Bingham, Nottingham UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Software development and maintenance for geotechnical monitoring systems.
  • Customer support for 3D Laser Mapping software.

Skills and requirements:

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Graduate degree (or equivalent) in computer science, or a related field, with applicable background
  • Strong development skills using C#, SQL.
  • Ability to independently develop software development plans, including timelines and test procedures.
  • Excellent teamwork/communication skills.

Desirable skills:

  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of OpenGL.
  • C++, Python experience.
  • Experience with version control systems e.g. GIT.

Sales Executive

Workshop Technician (Electronics)

3D Laser Mapping are UK leaders in their field and due to an internal promotion they now have a requirement for a Workshop Technician to join the business

Responsibilities:

  • Service, Maintenance and Repair of computers, data loggers and other electronic systems on site
  • Driving to suppliers and customers to pick-up or deliver items (UK wide)
  • Travelling world-wide to drive our StreetMapper mapping system alongside an applications engineer. Projects range from 2 days to 2 weeks in duration.
  • Monitoring stock levels/movement and making sure records are accurate & correct
  • Ensure all paperwork is completely accurate and with the relevant order numbers
  • Maintain a safe working environment & work in a safe manner
  • Report any unsafe practices or potential hazards immediately
  • Work to company policies & procedures and ensure you adhere to these (e.g. IT Policy, absence policy)
  • Attend training courses to maintain up to date knowledge of equipment

Key requirements: 

  • You will be fully conversant in electronics and computer maintenance
    Full clean driving licence
  • Candidates who have experience in Electronics will have a distinct advantage
  • Proficient in using systems, report writing, keeping all records updated.
  • Excellent organisational skills
