3D Laser Mapping will visit the experimental monitoring site of the Poggio Baldi Landslide in Santa Sofia, Italy on June 10th 2016 to demonstrate the capabilities of SiteMonior4D for slope stability and landslide monitoring.
The demonstration at the Poggio Baldi landslide follows the Third International Course on Geototechnical and Structural Monitoring where Dr Sarah Owen will give a lecture on monitoring displacements using 3D laser scanning. “I am very excited to be speaking at this great event.” commented Sarah, “It is a great opportunity to discuss the technical advantages of using laser scanning to monitor deformation and the many features that can be used in software to enhance these capabilities further.”
The demonstration will include a walk-though of the automatic scheduling tools in SiteMonitor, on-site data capture, a tour of the analysis tools in the software and examples of how alerts can be set up to warn of movement. SiteMonitor4D is a laser-based monitoring system that includes powerful, easy-to-use software which provides the Geotechnical Engineer with data that can be used for making informed decisions.
